Quick read

What is the prostate?

The prostate is a small, walnut-sized gland, located below the bladder and in front of the rectum. It surrounds the urethra, the tube through which urine and semen exit the body. The primary function of the prostate is to produce seminal fluid, a crucial component of semen that nourishes and transports sperm during ejaculation. Continue reading.

How it works?

Our Men's ProMulti is a complete formula of 32 vitamins, minerals, botanicals, amino acids and live cultures, developed for men from 45 onwards. It contains evidence-based doses of clinically-backed ingredients for prostate and urinary health, testosterone, energy, heart, gut and mental clarity.

In our survey of 356 men, 94% reported at least one active health concern, while very few had discussed it with anyone. 92% of men taking Men's ProMulti rated it effective.

Prostate and urinary flow

Your prostate enlarges from around 40 onwards. It sits around the urethra and as it grows it restricts flow, which is why waking in the night, a weaker stream and the feeling of not quite emptying the bladder are so common by 50.

Beta-sitosterol is one of the most evidenced plant compounds for prostate and urinary flow. In a Cochrane review of over 500 men it improved urinary symptom scores and peak flow compared with placebo. Nettle root has been studied in over 600 men with similar results, and pumpkin seed has a long history of traditional use for urinary and prostate health.

Testosterone and sexual health

Testosterone declines from around 30 by roughly 1% a year. It is slow enough that most men do not notice it happening and put the result down to age or stress instead.

Zinc maintains your testosterone levels and is one of the minerals most commonly low in men, and selenium supports normal sperm production. Panax ginseng and L-arginine have been studied across multiple trials for sexual function, while ashwagandha lowers cortisol and helps manage your stress response.

Energy and stamina

Muscle mass declines from your mid-thirties, recovery takes longer, and nutrient absorption becomes less efficient at the same time, so your body needs more energy supplies.

Vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6 and B12 in our Men's ProMulti fuel your energy, provided in their body-ready forms so no conversion step is needed. Beetroot provides dietary nitrates, which your body converts into nitric oxide and which have been studied extensively for blood flow and performance, while panax ginseng and maca have both been used for stamina and vitality for centuries.

Heart and circulation

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in men in the UK, and the risk climbs from midlife.

Vitamins B6, B12 and folate work together to keep homocysteine at healthy levels for cardiovascular health. Vitamin B1 is vital for your heart function, beta-sitosterol is a plant sterol from the same family studied for cholesterol, and zinc, selenium and vitamins C and E protect your cells from oxidative stress.

For focused cholesterol and heart support, we recommend HeartPro® alongside Men's ProMulti.

Mood, focus and mental clarity

Low mood in men often shows up as irritability, withdrawal or loss of interest rather than sadness, which is part of why it goes unrecognised.

Vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and folate make the neurotransmitters that regulate your mood and work together to control homocysteine, a compound associated with poorer cognitive function, while vitamin B5 supports your mental sharpness and focus. Ashwagandha is one of the most studied adaptogens for stress.

Gut health

Gut symptoms are underreported by men, and your microbiome shifts with age, becoming less diverse and less resilient.

Our Men's ProMulti provides Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum alongside inulin, a prebiotic fibre from chicory root that the friendly bacteria already living in your gut feed on. Providing both together is more useful than either alone.

If digestive symptoms are a regular feature for you, we recommend Gut Works® alongside Men's ProMulti.

Bones, joints and healthy ageing

Men lose bone density more slowly than women but from a later start, and by 70 the fracture risk is comparable, yet it is rarely discussed as a men's health issue.

Vitamin D3 is essential for your body to absorb calcium, vitamin K2 activates the proteins that bind it into bone, and boron supports bone health. Vitamin D also supports your muscles, which matters for balance and reducing falls, while reishi mushroom, lycopene and vitamins A, C and E protect your cells from oxidative stress.

Men's Health

Men's health: the concern-to-care gap

Our survey of 356 men reveals how rarely health concerns translate into action - and how wide the gap grows around stigmatised conditions.

356 respondents 2024 Cross-sectional customer survey
94% have a health concern
<34% seek any help
68% say suicide awareness falls short
Study Findings

We surveyed 356 men across 16 health domains, measuring concern, help-seeking, prostate literacy and psychological burden.

What we found:

94.1% reported at least one active health concern, yet help-seeking never exceeded 34% in any domain. The gap was widest for sexual health: just 1.4% had consulted a professional about libido. Prostate literacy was low (51.7% didn't know how to support it), and screening was rarest in the youngest men (87% of 30-40s had never been checked).

What This Means

Concern doesn't become care

94% concerned, yet under 34% seek any help in any domain.

Action lags furthest behind for stigmatised conditions.

The silent areas

Only 1.4% consulted anyone about libido, 3.7% about ED.

Despite meaningful levels of concern and worry.

Education aimed at the wrong age

87% of men aged 30–40 had never had a prostate check.

Screening is rarest where the modifiable-risk window is longest.

actually have!

How do I store my probiotics?

Probiotics are very sensitive to heat and warm air, so keep your pouch away from any warm air or moisture, including radiators, steam from a kettle or showers in a bathroom. If at all uncertain, store in your fridge if it is frost-free.

Should men over 40 take a multivitamin?

While Men’s ProMulti is specially formulated for men over the age of 45, it can be taken by men of all ages. Supporting a healthy prostate, heart and cognitive function are important for men at any age, and while this is even more the case among men as they get older, nutrient deficiencies among younger men can mean they’re not supporting the optimal health of these vital functions.

Can Men’s ProMulti be taken with HeartPro®?

Yes, the Men’s ProMulti can be taken alongside HeartPro®. HeartPro® is an advanced formula of probiotics and plant sterols for maintaining healthy cholesterol. Men’s ProMulti and HeartPro® are recommended together for those looking for additional and maximum support for heart health, alongside a healthy and varied diet and lifestyle.

Can Men’s ProMulti be taken alongside GlucoBalance®?

Yes, Men’s ProMulti can be taken alongside GlucoBalance®. GlucoBalance® is uniquely formulated for managing blood sugar and a healthy metabolism, and regulating insulin function. GlucoBalance® helps decrease sugar cravings, and the highs and lows of blood sugar, and supports healthy weight management.

Should men take a multivitamin?

Yes, men need nutrients just as much as women, and just as women need certain nutrients more than men, men need other nutrients more than women. We have specifically formulated a multivitamin and probiotic, Men's ProMulti, to cater to the health needs of men.

What age should men take multivitamins?

Men should take a good multivitamin throughout their lives. This helps avoid nutrient deficiencies that may occur through poor diet, lifestyle, or other factors.

Is there a difference between men's and women's multivitamins?

Yes. Multivitamins specific to men and women, like Men's ProMulti and Women's ProMulti, are formulated to take into account the different nutritional needs of both genders. These formulas target aspects of health that are gender specific.

Do men need iron in their multivitamin?

Not always. It depends on diet and lifestyle. Unlike women, men do not have a monthly blood loss, which means they need to consume less iron. Men do require iron; however, a normal diet usually provides enough iron for men's needs. In some exceptional circumstances, men do need higher levels of iron; however, this is specific to certain medical conditions and lifestyles.
