Quick read

Why is it important?

It is possible to be vegan and healthy. However, whether you've reduced your meat intake or you follow a completely vegan diet, it's important to ensure optimal health through your diet and lifestyle and be mindful of common nutrient deficiencies that can arise through the food choices you make. Taking a Daily Multivitamin can help ensure you're getting the right nutrients. For more information on this, our nutritionists explain common vegan deficiencies.

If you're unsure what nutrients your diet provides, and what your diet may be missing, create your free Diet Profile, created by expert nutritionists, for a 'window into your diet'.

How to take it?

  1. Take 2 capsules each day

Take two capsules daily, with or without food.

  2. Take consistently

Your body cannot store most of these nutrients, so they need replacing every day rather than topping up occasionally.

  3. Adjust when needed

Both capsules can be taken together or split across the day. Morning or daytime works best.

What to expect?

1 MONTH

Improved energy, focus, concentration, less tiredness and fatigue.

2 MONTHS+

Stronger hair, skin, and nails, continued improvement in energy and cognition, better functioning immune system.

3 MONTHS+

Improved mood, immune health, sleep quality, metabolism and digestive health. Addresses nutrient deficiencies.

How it works?

Our Daily Multivitamin provides 26 vitamins, minerals and plant nutrients in forms your body can readily absorb. It contains evidence-based doses of clinically-backed ingredients for daily energy, immunity, skin, hair, nails, bones, mood and mental clarity.

In our study, 98.5% of people taking it rated it effective for their overall wellbeing.

Energy and tiredness

Tiredness is one of the most common reasons people start taking our Daily Multivitamin.

B vitamins and iron are central to why it's so effective. Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 in highly bioavailable forms all fuel the process that converts the food you eat into energy. They are water-soluble, so they need replacing daily. The iron carries oxygen around your body - too low levels of iron lead to tiredness.

Immunity and resilience

Your immune system is powered by a network of nutrients.

Vitamin D3 is the one most people in the UK are deficient of, and works alongside zinc, selenium, vitamin C and vitamin A, all supporting your immune function, from the barrier your skin and gut lining provide to the cells against bugs.

Skin, hair and nails

Your skin, hair and nails are the first places a nutritional shortfall shows, and this is why people taking our Daily Multivitamin notice a difference in these before anything else.

Vitamin C is vital for your body to build collagen, the protein that gives skin its structure. Zinc supports the constant cell renewal that skin and nails depend on, biotin supports healthier hair, and copper supports your natural hair and skin pigmentation.

Skin renews on a cycle of roughly 28 days and hair grows in months rather than weeks, so take our Daily Multivitamin consistently for at least two months for best results.

Mood and mental clarity

B vitamins in our Daily Multivitamin are directly involved in making the neurotransmitters that carry signals between brain cells, how your brain performs and your mood.

Vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and folate work together to keep homocysteine in check, a compound associated with poorer cognitive function, while vitamin B5 supports your mental sharpness and focus.

In a three-year trial of 2,262 older adults, those taking a daily multivitamin performed better on tests of memory and thinking than those taking placebo, with the clearest effect in people who started with a poorer diet. Vitamin B12 shortfall is also more common among those on a plant-based diet, and it can present as low mood or brain fog long before anything else.

Bones, teeth and muscles

Bone is living tissue that is continually broken down and rebuilt. From your mid-thirties, the rebuilding starts to fall behind, which makes what you give it now matter more than it did at twenty-five.

Vitamin D3 is essential for your body to absorb calcium. Vitamin K2 then activates the proteins that bind that calcium into bone. Magnesium and manganese both help maintain your bone structure, and vitamin D also supports your muscles.

For comprehensive support for your bones, muscles, and joints, we recommend OsteoFriend®.

Hormones and metabolism

Hormones are involved in almost everything your body does, and our Daily Multivitamin helps your body make those hormones and regulate.

Iodine is needed to make thyroid hormones, which set the pace of your metabolism, and selenium is needed to convert those hormones into their active form. Vitamin B6 regulates your hormonal activity, and chromium keeps your blood sugar steady for stable energy and appetite.

Choline is included and most multivitamins leave it out. Your liver uses it to process fats, and dietary sources are largely animal-based, so plant-based diets are often short of it.

Vision

Your eyes are under more strain than they were a generation ago, and the nutrients that protect them are not ones most diets supply generously.

Vitamin A and riboflavin are both important for maintaining normal vision, and zinc is concentrated in the retina and transports vitamin A to the eyes from the liver.

If screens are a significant part of your day, we recommend Screen Eyes™, which provides all four of the carotenoids found in your macular pigment.

Heart and circulation

Your heart beats around 100,000 times a day, every day, which makes it one of the most energy-hungry tissues you have.

Vitamin B1 is vital for your heart function. Vitamins B6, B12 and folate work together to keep homocysteine at healthy levels for cardiovascular health, and vitamins C and E protect your cells from oxidative stress. Copper maintains your connective tissue, including those in the walls of your blood vessels.

For focused cholesterol and heart support, we recommend HeartPro® alongside Daily Multivitamin.

actually have!

What is the best multivitamin supplement?

Which? Magazine gave the DRV+ (Formerly DR.VEGAN®) Daily Multivitamin the highest rating, with 81%, of all multivitamins it lab tested and reviewed in its 'Best multivitamin supplements 2025'.

Assessing 15 multivitamin supplements from leading high street brands, Which? lab tested multivitamins for key nutrients, bioavailability of nutrients, dose, and additives, and the DRV+ Daily Multivitamin came out with the highest score of all those reviewed. Commenting on the formula, the independent reviewers at Which? said "This is a good quality multivitamin, whether or not you're vegan. The nutrients it contains are in highly bioavailable forms, and the dosage levels are good, especially for iron, vitamin B12, zinc and iodine - which are harder to find in vegan diets."

I'm not vegan, can I take your Daily Multivitamin?

Yes, our award-winning Daily Multivitamin can be taken by anyone following an omnivore, pescatarian, flexitarian and vegetarian diet as well as a vegan diet.

Our Daily Multivitamin contains 24 essential nutrients at the most optimal levels, and in a highly absorbable form, with zero additives, which makes it more effective than standard multivitamins. Our Daily Multivitamin contains optimal levels of Choline, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1 and Vitamin B12 - standard multivitamins do not include these or do so at far too low levels.

Can I take your Daily Multivitamin alongside other supplements in your range?

Our Daily Multivitamin can be taken alongside other supplements in our range, with a few exceptions or watch-outs, the main one being we do not recommend taking our Daily Multivitamin with our Gentle Iron & Vitamin C. This is because the two together would provide too high levels of Iron for women and men.

Our Daily Multivitamin contains excellent levels of B Vitamins and Vitamin B12. As such, while it can be taken alongside our Vitamin B12 and UltraEnergy (High Strength B Vitamin Complex) which can provide additional support, you may not need these additional supplements if you're taking our Daily Multivitamin.

Will your Daily Multivitamin help my hair, skin and nails?

Yes, among the main benefits of our Daily Multivitamin is that it provides the vital nutrients to support healthy hair, skin and nails every day. For example, within 4-5 weeks of taking our Daily Multivitamin you may begin to notice your nails are getting stronger and less brittle, and over time you will notice your hair becoming stronger and your skin healthier.

If you're looking to rejuvenate your skin or hair, we recommend our highly acclaimed Skin Saviour®. Developed by experts and including probiotics, Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C and essential nutrients, Skin Saviour® targets blemishes and fuels your body's natural collagen production for glowing, healthier skin. Hair Saviour®, with clinically proven actives including AnaGain™, MSM, Saw Palmetto and essential nutrients for hair growth, is a unique formula to fuel normal, strong hair growth and for glowing, lustrous hair. Discover Hair Saviour®.

Should I take the Daily Multivitamin all year round?

We always recommend taking our Daily Multivitamin throughout the year because it helps protect you against building up any deficiencies in key nutrients that you may not be getting as you change the foods you eat through the seasons, or as you travel or life gets in the way of eating a healthy balanced diet.

When is the best time to take my Daily Multivitamin?

We always recommend taking your Daily Multivitamin capsules in the morning to help fuel your day ahead. However, you can also take them at any time of day, including in the evenings, and together or separately - it's up to you and down to what is most convenient for you.

Can my teenager take the Daily Multivitamin?

Yes, while our award-winning Daily Multivitamin is formulated for adults, it is also safe for older teenagers to take. If your teenager is 16 or above and of average weight and size for their age, they can take the two capsules a day, however we’d recommend initially taking just one capsule a day as this may be sufficient to support their needs, from their energy and immune health to the digestion and mental performance, skin and hair. If your teenager is under 16, then we'd recommend taking just one capsule a day initially.

If the child is under medical supervision or taking any medication, please consult their healthcare provider or GP first before they take supplements.

Can I take your Daily Multivitamin if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Our Daily Multivitamin contains Vitamin A, which is not recommended during pregnancy. We recommend instead taking our Pregnancy Multinutrient because it has specifically been formulated to contain all the recommended nutrients during pregnancy, at their optimal dosages in their most bioavailable form and with zero nasty additives. Our Pregnancy Multinutrient can also be taken through all trimesters of pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Discover our Pregnancy Multinutrient.

Do I need to supplement with Vitamin D?

Individual needs may differ, but if you are staying indoors for an extended period of time, for instance, in a hospital setting or in a care home, if you are elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding, or generally feeling unwell, it is recommended that supplement with at least 10 mcg (400IU) of Vitamin D3 all year round.

Is it good to take a multivitamin everyday?

Our body needs dozens of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and nutrients every day to survive and function at its best. They all contribute to our health, from our mood, energy, mental performance, healthy skin and hair to our muscles and joints, our immunity, our ability to fight off bugs and disease, and much more. Nutritionists generally agree that most of us should take a good-quality daily multivitamin each day. This is because, with the reality of modern life, it can be very difficult to get a healthy and varied diet every day.

How long does it take for multivitamins to start working?

Some people may notice a difference in as little as a few days or even hours in terms of energy and mood. Some health benefits take longer to show, and it is different from person to person.

What makes a good multivitamin?

The right multivitamin for you will depend on your age, gender, and lifestyle. A good multivitamin will have the most bioavailable forms of ingredients and the right number of vitamins, minerals and botanicals at optimal doses. Doses of 100% NRV do not mean a multivitamin is good or right for you. The NRV is only the minimum you need to avoid a health condition caused by a deficiency in a nutrient, and you may need more than the NRV each day depending on your diet, lifestyle, specific needs, and if you have an existing deficiency. Better multivitamins will also contain probiotics and amino acids. Good multivitamins contain optimal forms of micronutrients, including methylated B vitamins, which are more easily absorbed by the body; vitamin D3 and not D2; and the glycinate or citrate forms of magnesium instead of the poorly absorbed stearate or oxide forms of magnesium. Good multivitamins should also contain all the essential micronutrients your body needs, including Vitamins A, C, D3, E, K2, a complete B Vitamin complex; and the important minerals including calcium, magnesium, zinc and iodine.

Can I take multivitamins and ferrous sulfate together?

If you are deficient in iron, and have been prescribed iron by a health professional, yes, you can also take a multivitamin. The level of iron in a multivitamin is a maintenance dose and is unlikely to contribute to too much iron.

Can you take multivitamins with blood thinners?

There are some nutrients in multivitamins that may interfere with some blood thinners. Anyone who is on medication should consult a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate the compatibility of your medication and a multivitamin.

How long should you take multivitamin supplements?

Multivitamin supplements are designed to be taken long-term.

What multivitamin should women take?

We have specifically formulated a multivitamin for women – Women's ProMulti. This is a multivitamin and probiotic and has been formulated specially for the needs of women.

What happens if you take a double dose of multivitamins?

Although we don't recommend it, a double dose occasionally is unlikely to cause any harm. Most vitamins are water soluble, so if you have too much, your body will excrete them naturally through your urine. Other vitamins are fat soluble, such as Vitamins A, D3, E, and K2.

Can I take multivitamins with antibiotics?

Generally multivitamins are safe to take with antibiotics; however, you should check with a healthcare professional to check the compatibility of your specific medication with a multivitamin.
