Not all Vitamin B12 supplements are vegan. Methylcobalamin is a vegan, the most absorbable, and the most body-friendly form of B12.

Are Curcumin & Turmeric the same thing?

Yes and no. Curcumin is the all-important active ingredient in turmeric, and it is the curcumin in turmeric that is so acclaimed for supporting joints, bones and muscles. Think of curcumin as the concentrate of turmeric. The problem with standard turmeric and turmeric supplements is in their normal form, turmeric contains a very, very small amount of curcumin.

If you're taking a standard turmeric supplement for your joints, check if your supplement lists curcumin separately in the nutritional table. If you don't see curcumin in the nutritional table, it means there isn't sufficient curcumin in your supplement and while your turmeric supplement will be beneficial for your digestion, it won't be helping your joints and joint aches.

That's why our Curcumin & Turmeric is so popular - because it contains 200mg of Curcumin and 3300mg of Turmeric, and is very effective for your joints, digestion and daily wellbeing.

Are Folate and Folic Acid the same thing?

No, folic acid is the synthetic, poorly absorbed form of Vitamin B9. Folate is the natural form, which is a much better absorbed form, and is found in high-quality supplements such as DRV+ (Formerly DR.VEGAN®) Pregnancy Multinutrient, Women's ProMulti, Daily Multivitamin, and others.

How much Vitamin B12 should I take per day?

The amount of Vitamin B12 you may need will depend on your diet, exercise, your body's absorption efficiency, the form of B12 you take, and your current levels of B12. If you're correcting a deficiency, look for a dose of 2,000ug per day, or 2-3 times a week. If your B12 levels are more normal, a dose of 200ug that's found in our Women's ProMulti, or 500ug in our Men's ProMulti and Daily Multivitamin are ideal daily levels to support your energy, psychological function, red blood cell formation, reducing tiredness and fatigue, and much more.
